RTL exists for one reason alone - to create a fun, friendly and drama-free place for like-minded people to play.

What We Ask

Attitude: Leave it at the door.  This guild is a place to relax and have fun.  Comraderie and being respectful to your fellow guildmates are expected. Rudeness, flagrant vulgarity and excessive profanity are not tolerated.  Members are expected to handle disagreements in a mature and private manner, or to contact an officer in the event of an irresolvable dispute.

Teamwork: Some of us are veterans and some of us are new, and at some point all of us will need the assistance of our guildmates.  Teamwork and building friendships will ensure that we thrive as a group.

Sense of Humor: Relax, it's only a game.  Playful innuendo, friendly trash-talking and adult humor are encouraged as long as it remains within the bounds of good taste. Without a sense of humor many of us would have quit playing long ago.

Need Before Greed: Need before greed and pass on all Bind on Pickup and Epic quality items.  This is the system our guild uses when playing together.  Please be respectful when grouped with players outside of our guild and discuss looting rules before adventuring together.

Fun: The main reason this guild was formed and the cornerstone of our philosophy.  This is a game, and the 'fun' aspect can often be overlooked in the race for loot and the desire to be the best.  We will make our best effort to explore every facet of content offered, in our own time, in our own way.

What We Will Do

The leadership of Ride the Lightning will always work towards the betterment of the guild and its players.  We will treat the members of the guild as one would treat family.

Help will always be there if needed.  Charity, however, is a different matter.  We want everyone to be able to pull their own weight and you will only learn by trying, and often failing as well.  All members are expected to approach the game with an attitude of self-responsibility.  Those who put forth the effort will find opportunities to explore every facet of content the game has to offer.

We will always maintain the casual nature and high quality of this guild.  We recognize that every one of us has obligations outside of the game.  As long as every member is responsible about the commitments they have made, no one will ever be punished or left behind for choosing real life over playing the game.
